LOGOS & BRANDING

Art Direction | Design

The following represents a sampling of the logo development and branding campaigns from my years in lead roles at Disney and elsewhere. Larger projects involved the development of full style guides.

Disney Connection

We created the Disney Connection premium broadband destination from the ground up so needed to develop an extensive brand identity system to support it. Key product benefits to communicate were - exclusivity, premium quality, and Disney fun for all ages.

Animated Promos

We programmed the Disney Connection video player to dynamically insert branded content promos. This is a sampling of the production templates we developed.

Disney Online

When the online division of Disney was founded in the late 90s, it was in need of a branding solution. Our logo design sought to capture the joyful playfulness of a red rubbber ball. The intent was to make the ball an online navigational tool, give it a kidlike personality, and skin it in fun ways. The red ball logo was used to represent Disney's online division for approximately fifteen years.

Disney's Blast

Blast was Disney's original online subscription product for kids. The product evolved dramatically over time. To keep pace with the product, we made timely upgrades to the logo and branding. This 2004 upgrade gave the logo gloss and dimension and reestablished the product's premium status.

Disney Channel Games Arena Challenge

Disney Channel Games Arena Challenge was a premium, multiplayer gaming platform for tweens based on Disney Channel's summer miniseries that pitted top talent against one another in fairground-type games. Our logo needed to feel inspired by and aligned to the branding of the on-air series.

Co-Branding

Disney Online's content sharing partnership with MSN required co-branding. We developed the logo strategy and guidelines.
