Luceworks is a budding print-on-demand (POD) business consisting of over 2500 lifestyle products across a growing number of POD sites. I designed and built Luceworks.com, a shopping hub that provides Luceworks customers a single destination for the browsing of products. Prior to luceworks.com, browsing the product line meant jumping across multiple sites (Zazzle, Society6, Fine Art America, Red Bubble, etc.). Luceworks.com uses a robust subset of products to deliver an optimal browse and compare shopping experience. Once purchase decisions are made, "Buy" links send shoppers to corresponding product pages on the POD sites for final purchase.
Traffic to luceworks.com is generated primarily from social media and email. For that reason, mobile and desktop experiences are of equal importance. The site has been designed to provide optimal experiences on any device.
While primary navigation needed to align with product categories (pillows, coasters, messenger bags, etc.), we wanted secondary navigation to be fun and appeal to emotions. Product tagging enabled secondary navigation by sentiment, subject and color. The related products feature leverages the "subject" tag to recommend products using the same subject but not necessarily the same image. And to fully enable site search, we crafted unique product desciptions and titles using keywords most likely to be used by shoppers.
Sales are announced almost daily. To reach the widest audience on a daily basis we designed a simple but effective production method for the marketing creative. All daily social media and email campaigns depend on a single well-crafted product image paired with compelling copy. The copy and links are adjusted as necessary per platform.
